There are 13 chief doctors, 10 vice-chief doctors. Among them, 2 are members of the Directory Board of Gynecology Branch of Chinese Medical Association (CMA), 2 are faculty Ph.D. doctor's tutors and 5 are teaching in master's programs. It has been equipped with several modern equipment, such as vaginoscope, hysteroscope, laparoscope, etc. Electrotomy under hysteroscope has been carried out since 1994. Until now, several gynecological diseases are treated by means of hysteroscope and laparoscope. Combination of hysteroscope and laparoscope in diagnosis and treatment (for example, female infertility) had good outcome. Endoscope technology of the hospital is of the advanced level in China. The second section does well in gynoplasty. It's famous for being experienced in treating congenital genital abnormally,neoplasty of damaged genital duct and urinary incontinence. Vagina neoplasty with peritoneum was put into practice since 1978, and improvement has been made continuously, which was awarded by Zhejiang Province for medical progress. In the recent years, stress incontinence was cured through TVT with successful effect. The third section of Gynecology has been contributed to endometriosis since 1980, which was once a responsible unit for national research group on endometriosis. Recently, lab research and clinical observation have been carried out in order to make personal therapy plan. Post-surgery patients are treated with endocrine medicine or Chinese traditional medicine to elevate pregnancy rate after conservative surgery and decrease recurrence after half-radical surgery. The fourth section is a combination section for treating non-surgery patients, such as malignant tumor chemotherapy, cervical and breast diseases. They created the sequential three- combined chemotherapy in treating malignant trophoblast tumor, which resulted in increased effect. The recent effect and long-term survival rate of ovary cancer are of the first-class in China by combination of primary surgery and combined chemotherapy. Lately, the non-surgery therapy system for gynecological malignant tumor has been set up, involving radiotherapy and chemical therapy. The section of Oncology is one of the key disciplines in Zhejiang Province with its own specialty. Systematic researches were made on trophoblastic tumor in locating and exciding the focus and reserving fertility. New-assisted chemotherapy was applied to cervical carcinoma with giant mass, since 1995, with a distinct recent effect, making it possible for all patients to have surgical procedural, resulting in decreased proliferation activity of tumor cell and fewer high-risk pathologic factors after surgery. Cryosurgery and LEEP (loop electrosurgical excision procedure) were applied to CIN (cervical intraepithelial neoplasia).
